This presentation will discuss the basics of good copywriting – and how good copy can be successfully utilized across channels be in in the mail, online and in social media, on the phones or in other promotional materials for an organization, such as annual reports, grant proposals and more!

2. This presentation will talk through ways to get to the best copy – collaborating with in -house experts, thinking through strategy and brainstorming with copywriters are all ways to arrive on the best message
3. Finally, we’ll review examples of good copy – and how it was successfully utilized cross channels
Speakers Bio
Annie Hughes, President of Type A Strategies, is an independent fundraising consultant based in Washington, DC. With over 10 years of fundraising experience, Annie works with organizations to grow their development programs through various mediums including: online and off-line direct marketing, major donor solicitations, foundation funding, and fundraising events. Additionally, Annie works with her clients to increase the effectiveness of their internal development operations. Previously, Annie was a Vice President of Client Services at Chapman Cubine Adams and Hussey, a full service direct marketing firm. During the 2008 election cycle, Annie served as the National Deputy Director of Operations for the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign where she oversaw daily operations at the national headquarters and in primary states. Annie also previously worked at OMP, Inc. as a Director of Client Services and in the Major Gifts department at EMILY’s List during the 2004 election cycle.
