What kinds of companies hire Interns?
The DMAW has more than 1,500 members-the second largest direct response association in America. About two or three dozen firms hire interns. Members most likely to hire interns are special interest associations, non-profit groups (often originated around specific issues or political ideology) publishers, and full service marketing companies. In addition, DMAW has many members who specialize in printing, database management, mail shop and mailing lists that are anxious to train interested young people willing to learn.
When do internships begin and end?
Most internships are for the summer, but some companies may need extra help at any time during the year. The length of an internship is negotiable.
