Catalogs
Catalog marketing ranges anywhere from an offering of books and items for a small house list to skillfully produced, full color catalogs going out to hundreds of thousands of scientifically selected prospects. Catalog marketers find themselves involved in purchasing, database building, list segmentation, specialized copywriting and design, special offers, discounts, guarantees, postal regulations and rates, printing, production, inventory control, order processing, customer service and back end analysis. In other words, they engage many if not most direct marketing activities. Throughout each year DMAW meetings, seminars and conferences address these activities.
