Lunch & Learn: Learning the Value of Your Website in Dollars and Sense: A Working Session on Google Analytics

Do you feel like you could be getting more out of your Google Analytics, but you just don’t know what you don’t know?

If you’re managing a small to mid-sized digital program and spending a fair amount of time running Google Analytic reports to guide your program, you should attend our DMAW Lunch and Learn on September 28th! Adam Ruff, chief digital strategist for The Harrington Agency, will show you how to harness the power of Google Analytics to work harder and smarter for your organization or client.

In this hands-on Google Analytics session, you’ll learn:

  • How to set up automated, customizable reports that will save you time and get you information you can actually use.
  • How to connect your Google AdWords account to your Google Analytics, so that you can track behavior by campaigns, ads, and even keywords.
  • The holy grail of Google Analytics: the power of eCommerce and why you should be running it on your site…yesterday.

Adam will demonstrate how to effectively design reports that provide the information you need and which reports to avoid because they don’t yield usable data or actionable insight.

He’ll also show you how tying Google Analytics to your AdWords and using eCommerce can reveal the true value of every page on your website, expose the particular pathways that bring in donors, and attach a value to all your efforts so you can see where your efforts are paying off and where they’re not.

Attend this Lunch and Learn session and you’ll start saving time, getting better insight from your data and be motivated to call your CRM partner and get started harnessing the power of e-commerce.

Adam Ruff

The road Adam traveled to become a thought leader in digital fundraising was hardly direct, but then again neither is the field. However, after a career that spans running national political campaigns, practicing law, and even selling everything from speakers to laptops at Circuit City, he feels fully prepared to handle whatever comes down the pipe. But it wasn't until his tenure at Blue State Digital where he began working with nonprofits that he found his true calling - raising money for causes he deeply believes in.

Adam credits his success in digital to the passion he cultivated in politics, and the deep intellectual curiosity law school fostered in him. These traits serve him well in a field that is constantly in motion. "Digital makes you want it. There's no halfway when it comes to staying at the top of the game."

From the work he's produced so far and the successes he's provided to our clients, we are sure Adam will be at the forefront of digital leadership for a very long time.
