Anne Kottler, Founding Partner, Sage Communications

Anne Kottler is a Founding Partner of Sage Communications, a direct response agency specializing in fundraising communications for nonprofits and direct marketing for publishers and financial service companies. In addition to her current management role at Sage, she has served as a Marketing Director, Conference and Expositions Planner and New Business Consultant.
Anne heads up business development and client relations at the agency and keeps everything running smoothly. She also oversees the digital team which integrates smart data, dynamic content and other new technologies to create integrated and engaging digital marketing campaigns for their clients.
Sage’s nonprofits clients include Save the Children, World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Defense Fund, Hadassah, IFAW, North Shore Animal League America. Corporate clients include American Express, PayPal, Consumer Reports, Hearst Magazines, Conde Nast and other leading publishers.
Anne is a regular speaker at the Bridge Conference and DMA Non-Profit Conferences and has presented at circulation events in the US and abroad. When she isn’t busy managing the action at Sage, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her family, dancing or on the tennis court. She is also passionate about social justice and is involved with many volunteer activities.

Jacqueline Murphy, Director of Digital Supporter Engagement and Innovation, Planned Parenthood

Jacqueline Murphy serves as the Director of Digital Supporter Engagement and Innovation, where she focuses on developing innovative engagement and retention strategies aimed at digital first constituencies. Through this work, she helps drive the strategy for email, SMS, and direct response advertising programs in an effort to recruit new advocates to the cause and cultivate communities ready to act. Prior to joining Planned Parenthood, Jacqueline served as an Account Director at Weber Shandwick, where her clients included the National Education Association, Environmental Defense Fund, HealthCare.gov and the National Women's Law Center.

Caitlin Rulien, Communications Manager, League of Women Voters of United States

Caitlin Rulien is a communications professional and digital strategist with more than seven years' experience cultivating brands online. Passionate about voting rights and the possibilities of a democracy without barriers to the ballot, Caitlin works as the Communications Manager for the national office of the League of Women Voters to help support and advocate for the organization’s mission work.

Before joining the League, she worked in an array of fields, including agency, nonprofit, and media communications work. Her specialties include grassroots communications and digital strategizing, photojournalism, and copyediting.

TJ Peeler, User Experience Designer, Beaconfire RED

TJ is a UX Designer at Beaconfire RED with a passion for clear, audience-centric-communication. She has over 10 years of experience designing solutions online and off. TJ has experience facilitating workshops, conducting user research and testing, designing information architecture and wireframes, and working on content strategy. TJ has designed online experiences for League of Women Voters, Food Allergy Research & Education, National Women’s History Museum, and Partnership for Drug-Free Kids.

Prior to joining Beaconfire RED, TJ was a UX and Graphic Designer for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where she was responsible for the UX, design, content strategy and governance of various web properties. TJ worked on a variety of websites within the FTC – from e-commerce to educational. She also is an experienced infographic and informational designer. TJ graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in Studio Art.

 

Shannon Miller, Senior Manager of Digital Fundraising and Marketing, Power to Decide

Shannon Miller is the Senior Manager of Digital Fundraising and Marketing at Power to Decide, the campaign to end unplanned pregnancy, where she is responsible for individual fundraising. After starting her career working on political campaigns, she has worked throughout the nonprofit fundraising space, including managing the digital marketing program at SOS Children’s Villages – USA and helping various organizations with their digital marketing and advocacy at Chapman, Cubine + Hussey and Salsa Labs. Shannon has a BA from the University of Rochester and a MA from Seton Hall University. She’s a proud Chicagoan but refuses to root for the Cubs.

Ira Horowitz, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Cornershop Creative

Ira Horowitz is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Cornershop Creative. With more than 15 years’ experience, Ira has become an expert in nonprofit online communications and online fundraising. Working with hundreds of organizations, Ira has managed and executed web projects that have resulted in increased funds and resounding engagement. Ira previously worked for Firefly Partners, Free Press, Grassroots Campaigns, and American Jewish World Service. Ira lives in Olney, Maryland with his family.

Wendy Marinaccio Husman, Account Director, Mal Warwick Donordigital

Wendy Marinaccio Husman is an Account Director with Mal Warwick Donordigital. A fundraiser for over 17 years, her favorite topics are digital fundraising, monthly giving and data. Her MWD clients have included Mercy For Animals, Corporate Accountability and Project HOPE, among many other organizations doing fantastic progressive organizing. Wendy has an undergraduate degree in Science, Technology and Society from Stanford University and a Master’s in Performance Studies from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Prior to her work with MWD, she worked as Membership Director for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and Development Director for Alonzo King LINES Ballet. She is currently a proud member of AFP-Minneapolis and has served as VP of Membership for AFP-Golden Gate.

Jessica Bosanko, Senior Vice President, M+R

Jessica Bosanko, Senior Vice President at M+R, has been designing effective online advocacy, fundraising and recruitment strategies for non profits for more than fifteen years. She's helped Feeding America, the Clinton Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), CARE USA and Human Rights Campaign run and grow sophisticated online fundraising and advocacy programs, including peer-to-peer fundraising for WCS' 5K Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo. Before joining M+R in 2007, she honed her skills as an online marketer at Environmental Defense Fund and an online organizer and offline fundraiser with the state PIRGs, directing door-to-door canvass offices in San Diego and Pittsburgh.
