Anne Kottler, Founding Partner, Sage Communications

Anne Kottler is a Founding Partner of Sage Communications, a direct response agency specializing in fundraising communications for nonprofits and direct marketing for publishers and financial service companies. In addition to her current management role at Sage, she has served as a Marketing Director, Conference and Expositions Planner and New Business Consultant.
Anne heads up business development and client relations at the agency and keeps everything running smoothly. She also oversees the digital team which integrates smart data, dynamic content and other new technologies to create integrated and engaging digital marketing campaigns for their clients.
Sage’s nonprofits clients include Save the Children, World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Defense Fund, Hadassah, IFAW, North Shore Animal League America. Corporate clients include American Express, PayPal, Consumer Reports, Hearst Magazines, Conde Nast and other leading publishers.
Anne is a regular speaker at the Bridge Conference and DMA Non-Profit Conferences and has presented at circulation events in the US and abroad. Rosa Del Angel, Vice President of Digital Strategy and Engagement, Voto Latino

Rosa is a digital executive with over 15 years of experience working to develop successful and innovative ways to use digital for the greater good. At Voto Latino, a digital-first civic engagement organization, she leads the digital team and strategy with the goal of registering and mobilizing young Latinx voters. As an executive digital strategist she has developed a wide range of digital advocacy, fundraising and grassroots campaigns and solutions, leveraging channels and tactics across all levels of the digital conversion funnel, including email, website and eCRM management, social media, display advertising, search marketing, SEO, content creation and strategy, conversion rate optimization, marketing automation, SMS, digital analytics and mobile apps. She has a proven track of developing digital campaigns focused on outcomes, impact, ROI, growth, and increased engagement. Rosa has also led digital strategy for nonprofit organizations like Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International USA, The American Diabetes Association and CARE, to mention a few.


Steve Kehrli, Vice President of Development, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Foundation

Steve Kehrli is Vice President of Development for the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Foundation and helps to oversee the organization’s fundraising efforts, focusing on new innovative technologies that connect existing and would-be philanthropists with the many different facets of PETA’s work.
Steve has been influential in transforming organizational culture around fundraising, optimizing business processes, establishing key relationships, and driving revenue for all of PETA’s programs.
Having first joined PETA as a card-carrying member in 1998, his career started at a fundraising agency helping animal and environmental charities. PETA was one of his first assignments and he immediately connected to their mission and the boldness to which they carry out their work. From there it was only a matter of time until he came to work directly with them.
His passion is working to support animal rights by raising the much-needed funds and also turning financial supporters into everyday activists speaking up for animals worldwide.


Jade Nguyen, Director, Digital, The Lukens Company

Jade Nguyen, Director, Digital Services – Jade is a seasoned professional in developing campaign strategies in the digital space with over 10 years of nonprofit experience. Her strengths include executing fundraising, donation, membership, and branding programs while keeping up with the latest digital advertising platforms. She has worked with a variety of clients including the Art Institute of Chicago, American Leprosy Missions, Woodland Park Zoo, and the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, just to name a few. As Director of Digital Services, she oversees a team that manages email and advertising campaigns, supervises web development projects, distributes reports, and facilitates client interactions. She holds professional certifications in Google AdWords, IBM Watson Campaign Automation Cloud Software, and Professional Email Service Platforms. Jade is a regular volunteer for the DMAW, she chaired the DMAW Upping Your Digital Campaign workshop, and was a speaker at the latest DMANF conference in Chicago.


Dana Weinstein, Director, New Audience Engagement/Membership, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

Dana Weinstein has over 20 years experience in direct response marketing, the majority of which are concentrated in non-profit multi-channel fundraising. She has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for organizations such as AARP, the Democratic National Committee, Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and World Jewish Congress.

Dana holds a Masters Degree from George Washington University. She has served over the past 14 years as the Director of New Audience Engagement and Membership at the United States Holocaust Museum where she oversees social media, email and direct response fundraising. Dana has been happily married for 15 years and her greatest joy is being mom to 12-year old Nate, 8-year old Danica and 5-year old Bella.


Brett Schenker, Email Deliverability Specialist, EveryAction

With more than a dozen years managing and consulting for some of the largest issue advocacy organizations in the country and almost 20 in politics, Brett Schenker is regarded as one of the industry’s leading experts on email and deliverability. Schenker has worked on everything from advising associations, nonprofits, and multi-million dollar corporations to technology solutions and email strategy. He has been a featured speaker and panelist at NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference and other industry events.

Schenker is the Email Deliverability Specialist at EveryAction, where he educates national nonprofits, associations, and labor unions on email best practices and future trends. He also supports organizations with reputation management, mitigating email blocks, and preventing other deliverability issues. His experience includes almost a decade of work dedicated to email deliverability. He has also served as Internet Director and Database Administrator for national and statewide campaigns, including presidential campaigns.


Matt Reese, National Digital Campaigns Director, Everytown for Gun Safety

Having spent most of his career in nonprofits, Matt has pretty much done it all – from licking stamps, to lobbying on the Hill, to assembling furniture, to ecommerce, to digital campaigning. He spent a semester in college trying to optimize neurological wiring problems using the nervous system of a nematode as a theoretical model, and failed. Not to be deterred, he has applied the learnings to his current position as Senior Director of National Digital Campaigns for Everytown for Gun Safety.


Ashley Hansen, Vice President of Growth, Frakture

Ashley Hansen is the Vice President of Growth at Frakture and oversees business development, client services and marketing. Frakture is empowering nonprofits to transform their reporting and data operations using robots and data warehousing and working with organizations such as the AARP Foundation, PBS, Amnesty International USA and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Before diving into data warehousing, reporting and integration, Ashley worked at Care2 helping nonprofits win advocacy campaigns and raise more money. Ashley started her career at the Student Conservation Association and saw first hand the challenge of getting nonprofit systems to integrate with each other and the power of centralized reporting. When Ashley isn't working, you'll find her hiking, enjoying a local coffee shop or playing board games.


Mary Getz, Founder and Principal, MESG Marketing

With more than 15 years of experience in online communications and fundraising, Mary Getz has been the strategic and creative lead for digital campaigns for a diverse range of charitable, political and religious institutions. Mary’s thought leadership has helped her clients raise money, grow and cultivate their constituent base, drive advocacy actions and develop their online brands. Her background in integrated marketing and multichannel campaigns paired with strong technical skills enables Mary to help clients bridge the gap between strategy and implementation.


Bonnie Catena, Connector-in-Chief, Catena Connects, LLC

Before launching Catena Connects, Bonnie held development positions at nonprofit organizations, including the New York Public Library, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and Amnesty International USA. Her work on the agency side of the desk includes an eight-year tenure at Sanky Communications.

Bonnie’s clients benefit from her experience, expertise, and dedication to their missions as she tells their stories and inspires their donors to give. Those clients include Intact America, Nature and Culture International, National Coalition Against Censorship, Orbis, and USA for UNHCR. She also partners with Tripi Consulting, managing direct response fundraising programs for the Brennan Center for Justice and Friends of UNFPA, and provides copywriting services for agencies including Beaconfire RED, Concord Direct, Faircom New York, K2D Strategies, and PMX Agency.


Allyson Goldsmith, Senior Associate, Digital Content, USA for UNHCR

At USA for UNHCR, Allyson is responsible for developing the organization’s digital fundraising content, including email, paid advertising, SEO and the website to aid refugees around the world.

Allyson has worked in digital communications since 2012 for a variety of nonprofits including the World Food Program USA, National Organization for Women (NOW), and the United Nations Foundation where she managed their digital fundraising and communications programs. Allyson also worked for M+R, where she focused on email production and analytics for multiple nonprofits.


Krissi Jimroglou, Communications Director, Working America

Krissi Jimroglou develops and implements the organization's overarching communications strategy and helps lead its new initiatives, including the Front Porch Focus Group report series. As the head of communications, she directs the organization's media relations and digital teams, applying clinical research and feedback from the field to develop persuasive content. Prior to joining Working America, she worked for several advocacy nonprofits, including The Pew Charitable Trusts. There, she oversaw comprehensive national communications plans for two of their highly successful campaigns: Pre-K Now and the Public Safety Performance Project. Before that, she oversaw communications on multiple union organizing drives to unite home care workers in SEIU. Krissi holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University’s Communications, Culture and Technology program and is a graduate of Monmouth College.


Erik Rubadea, CEO, Yeeboo Digital

Erik Rubadeau is an experienced digital strategist, online fundraiser and non-profit technology specialist. Erik is currently the CEO of Yeeboo Digital, a leading data driven technology and full service online fundraising agency with clients across North America. With a decade of cross-functional digital fundraising, marketing, mobile, design, analytics and web development experience, Erik provides expert insight and strategic direction to the Yeeboo Digital team and their NonProfit and Charity clients.


Jacqueline Murphy, Director of Digital Supporter Engagement and Innovation, Planned Parenthood

Jacqueline Murphy serves as the Director of Digital Supporter Engagement and Innovation, where she focuses on developing innovative engagement and retention strategies aimed at digital first constituencies. Through this work, she helps drive the strategy for email, SMS, and direct response advertising programs in an effort to recruit new advocates to the cause and cultivate communities ready to act. Prior to joining Planned Parenthood, Jacqueline served as an Account Director at Weber Shandwick, where her clients included the National Education Association, Environmental Defense Fund, and the National Women's Law Center.


Caitlin Rulien, Communications Manager, League of Women Voters of United States

Caitlin Rulien is a communications professional and digital strategist with more than seven years' experience cultivating brands online. Passionate about voting rights and the possibilities of a democracy without barriers to the ballot, Caitlin works as the Communications Manager for the national office of the League of Women Voters to help support and advocate for the organization’s mission work.

Before joining the League, she worked in an array of fields, including agency, nonprofit, and media communications work. Her specialties include grassroots communications and digital strategizing, photojournalism, and copyediting.


TJ Peeler, User Experience Designer, Beaconfire RED

TJ is a UX Designer at Beaconfire RED with a passion for clear, audience-centric-communication. She has over 10 years of experience designing solutions online and off. TJ has experience facilitating workshops, conducting user research and testing, designing information architecture and wireframes, and working on content strategy. TJ has designed online experiences for League of Women Voters, Food Allergy Research & Education, National Women’s History Museum, and Partnership for Drug-Free Kids.

Prior to joining Beaconfire RED, TJ was a UX and Graphic Designer for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where she was responsible for the UX, design, content strategy and governance of various web properties. TJ worked on a variety of websites within the FTC – from e-commerce to educational. She also is an experienced infographic and informational designer. TJ graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in Studio Art.


Shannon Miller, Senior Manager of Digital Fundraising and Marketing, Power to Decide

Shannon Miller is the Senior Manager of Digital Fundraising and Marketing at Power to Decide, the campaign to end unplanned pregnancy, where she is responsible for individual fundraising. After starting her career working on political campaigns, she has worked throughout the nonprofit fundraising space, including managing the digital marketing program at SOS Children’s Villages – USA and helping various organizations with their digital marketing and advocacy at Chapman, Cubine + Hussey and Salsa Labs. Shannon has a BA from the University of Rochester and a MA from Seton Hall University. She’s a proud Chicagoan but refuses to root for the Cubs.


Ira Horowitz, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Cornershop Creative

Ira Horowitz is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Cornershop Creative. With more than 15 years’ experience, Ira has become an expert in nonprofit online communications and online fundraising. Working with hundreds of organizations, Ira has managed and executed web projects that have resulted in increased funds and resounding engagement. Ira previously worked for Firefly Partners, Free Press, Grassroots Campaigns, and American Jewish World Service. Ira lives in Olney, Maryland with his family.


Wendy Marinaccio Husman, Account Director, Mal Warwick Donordigital

Wendy Marinaccio Husman is an Account Director with Mal Warwick Donordigital. A fundraiser for over 17 years, her favorite topics are digital fundraising, monthly giving and data. Her MWD clients have included Mercy For Animals, Corporate Accountability and Project HOPE, among many other organizations doing fantastic progressive organizing. Wendy has an undergraduate degree in Science, Technology and Society from Stanford University and a Master’s in Performance Studies from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Prior to her work with MWD, she worked as Membership Director for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and Development Director for Alonzo King LINES Ballet. She is currently a proud member of AFP-Minneapolis and has served as VP of Membership for AFP-Golden Gate.


Jessica Bosanko, Senior Vice President, M+R

Jessica Bosanko, Senior Vice President at M+R, has been designing effective online advocacy, fundraising and recruitment strategies for non profits for more than fifteen years. She's helped Feeding America, the Clinton Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), CARE USA and Human Rights Campaign run and grow sophisticated online fundraising and advocacy programs, including peer-to-peer fundraising for WCS' 5K Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo. Before joining M+R in 2007, she honed her skills as an online marketer at Environmental Defense Fund and an online organizer and offline fundraiser with the state PIRGs, directing door-to-door canvass offices in San Diego and Pittsburgh.
